First Draft : Floor Plan This game takes place in a village house (Rumah Kampung) which is Grandma's house. The area consist of Grandma's room (close area), Abi's room, living room plus dining room and front porch. The gameplay started when Abi woke up and walks to the Living Room. For this game, we agreed to make it as simple as possible with this one limited space. Player can go outside but only till front porch because the situation in this game is the area was happened to have flood and players cannot go any further unless they solved the puzzle which is escape using "sampan" that was provided in the game. As a game artist in the group, I managed the 3d props modelling and textures, as well as storyboards and animation for cutscene. RINTIK is a narrative-rich game yet I managed to create only opening scene and ending scene. For the first draft, the opening scene was created as first person perspective. The opening shows that Abi (main character) is watching TV and his grandma entered the scene asking him if he wanted to go to supermarket together with her. Abi refused and decided to just stay at home. 01 02 But as me and my teammates discuss over and over again, to give a story more emotions, we agree to do third person perspective so that ones life's story is told in the cutscenes. I changed the storyboard again but still stick with the same concepts and ideas.
